If you would like to get updated on the current progress, future steps and vision of our Open Source Imaging Initiative (OSI²), please have a look at this presentation at the virtual conference of the European Society for Magnetic Resonance in Medicine (ESMRMB):

The presentation gives a short overview of:

  • The current progress in Open Source Soft- and Hardware development of low field MRI scanners
  • The first standard on Open Source Hardware
  • The potential cost savings by an Open Source approach for the public healthcare system

The talk was presented in the Plenary Session on “Sustainable MRI” chaired by Andrea Rockall and Marion Smits. Two other fantastic talks were part of the same session: “Sustainability in MRI” by Andrew Webb and “Building a Sustainable Diagnostic Imaging Clinic in Subsaharan Africa” by Abiodun Oluwole Fatade.
